Marianne Borgen of the Socialist Left Party is Oslo’s new mayor, after a power-sharing agreement with other parties. The Socialists' agenda includes imposing property taxes in Oslo for the first time, withdrawing investments from fossil fuel companies, creating all-night kindergartens, and making the city "car free" and ending all road construction projects.
