Minister of Justice and Attorney General Jody Wilson-Raybould has resigned from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's cabinet "with a heavy heart," and is seeking legal advice about speaking publicly about the SNC-Lavalin scandal. She remains a Liberal Party member of parliament for the riding of Vancouver Granville. Her resignation comes amid questions into whether Trudeau or anyone in his office tried to pressure Wilson-Raybould to abandon the prosecution of a case against the Montreal-based engineering and construction company when she was justice minister and attorney general. On February 11, the Federal Ethics Commissioner launched an inquiry into allegations of political interference in the SNC-Lavalin case.
