The seven-year saga of the Keystone XL pipeline ended when Pres. Barack Obama rejected the project, which had become the biggest irritant in Canada-U.S. relations. New PM Justin Trudeau said he was "disappointed" in the decision. TransCanada president Russ Girling called the cancellation "misplaced symbolism."
