Some laws in Germany still bear traces of the Nazi past, 70 years after the fall of Nazi Germany. The criminal code descriptions of murder and manslaughter were written in 1941 and parts of the original text still remain today, judging crimes based on the character of those committing them. Justice Minister Heiko Maas wants to change this.
